Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 15, 2026

Nona (“Nona”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides a mobile application that helps parents and caregivers track their baby’s feedings, sleep, diaper changes, medicine, vaccinations, and growth (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

In short: your data belongs to you. We collect only what the app needs to work, we never sell your personal information or your baby’s data, and you can delete your account and data at any time.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide

  • Account information: your name, email address, and a password when you create an account. Passwords are stored in hashed form and are never visible to us.
  • Baby profile information: the details you choose to add about your baby, such as name, date of birth, gender, and profile photo.
  • Care logs: the activity records you create in the app, including feedings (breast or bottle, duration, amounts), sleep sessions, diaper changes, medicine doses, vaccination records, and growth measurements such as weight and height.
  • Family and caregiver information: if you invite a partner, family member, or caregiver, we process the invitation details (such as their email address) and the role and access level you assign to them.
  • Communications: information you send us when you contact support.

1.2 Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data: basic technical information such as device type, operating system version, app version, and crash or error reports, used to keep the Service reliable.
  • Authentication data: session tokens that keep you signed in securely.

We do not collect precise location data, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
  • To generate the timelines, summaries, and insights the app shows you — for example, detecting patterns in your baby’s sleep and feeding rhythm;
  • To sync your baby’s data in real time across the caregivers in your family group;
  • To send you daily tips and service-related notifications;
  • To secure accounts, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot technical problems;
  • To comply with legal obligations.

3. Children’s Data

Nona is designed for use by parents and caregivers, not by children. The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

Information about your baby (such as their name, date of birth, and care logs) is provided by you as the parent or legal guardian, and is processed solely to provide the Service to you. You remain in control of this information and can edit or delete it at any time.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only:

  • With caregivers you invite: members of your family group can see your baby’s profile and care logs according to the role and access level you assign;
  • With service providers: we use trusted infrastructure providers to run the Service — including Supabase (database and authentication) and Railway (application hosting). These providers process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards;
  • For legal reasons: if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Nona, our users, or others;
  • In a business transfer: if Nona is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your personal information.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in secure, access-controlled databases. We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, token-based authentication, and rate limiting to protect against abuse. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using reasonable technical and organizational measures.

6. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal information and your baby’s data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited information to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Correct inaccurate information;
  • Delete your account and associated data;
  • Export a copy of your data;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.

You can edit or delete baby profiles, care logs, and caregivers directly in the app, or contact us at support@nonathebaby.app to exercise any of these rights.

8. International Transfers

Our service providers may store and process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email before the changes take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when this policy was most recently revised.
